picture of Four Bridges croppedFour Bridges is a New England Bluegrass band specializing in traditional, contemporary, and some original foot-stompin’ yee-hawin’ acoustic music. The band is comprised of a Vietnam Veteran, one of the original Grateful Dead followers, a stay-at-home Dad and a Chef. They’ve played all over New England for the past 7 years, whoopin’ it up wherever they go. Their newest adventure will take them on a 2-week tour of Norway!   Come see the local and internationally known bluegrass band Four Bridges at the SSFMC Nov 9, 2012!

Cambridge MA has long been the home of urban folk music in America and, Andrew Andrew Lewis 2 croppedLewis plays a big role in the Cambridge sound, embodying that tradition, but also forging a new one for the next generation of folk musicians.  A veteran of the music scene, Andrew’s songs empower the human element of simplicity.  His music is on play lists for several of New England’s top folk stations.  We are pleased to have singer-songwriter Andrew Lewis open the show tonight for our feature “Four Bridges.”

Open Mic – some after Four Bridges, some after Andrew.  We offer four 8 minute slots after our opening act and two more 8 minute slots after the featured act.  Then there are three slots reserved for our volunteer singers.

Hey ya’ll. I am wondering where I can take from fiddle lessons in the area. If someone could point me in the right direction tht would be great. Thanks.

Hey Forrest: I know Crossroads Music in Hanover was able to coordinate Fiddle lessons, and some other music Store in Quincy as well. In addition, Duxbury Music Conservatory is a wonder place to learn all kinds of instruments. Our Club also has a fiddle I think in the instrument loan program, but you have to be a member and pay a fee to borrow it, here’s the link:
      I hope that helps, Tonia

This is gonna be one heck of a show….Andrew Lewis is an outstanding regional singer/songwriter with a singular approach to sweet lyrical expression and beautifully clean acoustic music with haunting melodies that open doors for you that you didn’t know existed. Add his vocals to the mix and you truly have music that flows from the heart and takes you along the journey he has been traveling…can you tell I’m a fan? Well, you’re in for a treat, because once you hear Andrew, you will be a fan too!
